Oops

So, the thing is, I incorrectly filled out the title for all the strips I uploaded a week ago in that I didn’t realize they needed titles in order to update correctly.  At least, I’m assuming that’s the problem.  So, I apologize for the delay, which is highly unlikely to happen for this reason ever again.

The other thing is, I never really title my strips (although I do make use of the image title/hover text).  So, I feel like I have several options here for the strip title, which I will delineate in list form here:

  • Make up a title for each strip. The easiest way to do this for me is to pick the most interesting phrase in the comic and use it as a title.  Unfortunately, this often means giving away the punch line, so then I just think of something that sort of goes with the strip, like I did for this one.  I don’t want to go with the Dinosaur Comics solution, which is to basically make the strip title an additional joke, because the layout of my site actually displays the title in headline form, and it would be too long.
  • Give each strip a chronologically-corresponding title.  Either the number of the strip (in this case, 2) or the post date (March 4, 2010).
  • Give each strip a title having nothing do do with the strip, but perhaps having some other theme.  Perhaps strip titles could become a “song of the day” or “what I most recently had for lunch” feature.

So, here is your task: let me know which of these is your favorite solution by way of comment!  On your mark!  Get set!  Go!
