Finally here!
Greetings! Enjoying the relatively consistent update schedule so far? Glad to hear it.
By the way, unfortunately today’s comic will be significantly delayed. I let the drawing and scanning get down close enough to the wire that my computer pooping out on me would be a major issue (which is exactly what happened). If the needed repair is as simple as I think, I’ll have the strip posted sometime this evening.
This would be a great time to look into the RSS feed for the strip. It’s a good way to make sure you don’t miss an update if something interrupts your regular reading schedule. Hopefully in the future it won’t be something like this.
But seriously; I really appreciate your reading the strip regularly; and I’ll get the comic up ASAP. Sanford’s grumpy in it, which makes it seem strangely appropriate.

Hey, Daniel! I’m a friend of Julie’s and she told me about your webcomic. I’m really enjoying it so far! I’m curious if you modeled your pigeons after the Goodfeathers from Animaniacs.
Sweet! I’m really glad to hear it – thanks for taking the time to read, and even more time to comment.
You know, I had to think long and hard about the pigeons. The kind of “getting fed” squirrels vs. pigeons turf war seemed too good an idea to pass up (and how are you going to do a comic about a park without pigeons?). But I didn’t want to rip Animaniacs off (especially once Disney beat me to it with Bolt – those pigeons are even colored the same!).
I finally decided to go ahead with them anyway, and over time I hope I can develop some decidedly different personality traits. I picture them more as the stereotypical dumb football jocks than competent gangsters. If I can get that across in a couple of future stories, I’ll stick with them. If I give it two or three tries and they seem to much like the Goodfeathers, I’ll probably abandon them.
Thanks again for reading, and let me know how I do with the pigeons!
