Murphy’s Law

Murphy’s Law

And we’re back!  A small part of the troubles that kept me from updating last week was that I lost my good drawing pen somewhere.  I should have my new one delivered tomorrow, but the drawing of this one was interesting.

I usually use a Micron (size 08) pen for the panel, speech balloon & thought bubble borders & lettering, a Speedball Hunt 102 nib for ‘most everything else, and a brush or brush marker for fills of black.  Without the Speedball (which is what I’d lost) I tried inking with the straight brush.  There was a time when I almost thought I had the hang of the brush, but the result this time was so bad, I threw the strip away.  This puppy was inked with a Uni-ball pen.  Not bad for what it is, I think, but I’ll be glad to have a “real” pen again.

Thanks for sticking with it through the absence!  What do you guys use to draw with?  What have you seen good results from in others’ work?
